TEACHER OF MUSIC
Main Pay Scale - Upper Pay Scale
To start September 2024
Our students are amazing. They are intelligent, articulate, funny, welcoming and appreciative of great teaching. They deserve the best and we intend to make sure that this is what they receive, in every subject, every day of their school lives.
Our staff are phenomenal. They are dedicated, passionate, dynamic, caring and inspiring. We strongly feel we have a world class team and we firmly believe that in every department we have strong teams that are capable of creating the truly great school that this community deserves.
Our facilities are outstanding. With a £10+ million investment, our school boasts state-of-the-art classrooms, fantastic IT facilities, our own on-site Alternative Provision (Headway), and an unrivalled on-site Sports Village which includes a full-size 3G football pitch, a skate park and a dance studio. As a result of the school being oversubscribed every year, we have recently added to our facilities with the addition of a new teaching block comprising of six specialist and general classrooms.
Together, this makes Baysgarth one of the top performing schools in the Humber region, with seven consecutive years of record breaking, outstanding results. Our high-ability students make more progress than in any other local school and our inclusive, wraparound care for every single student and strong community approach ensures that every child is valued and encouraged to reach their potential.
We seek to appoint a passionate, dedicated and highly motivated Teacher of Music with the skills and experience to deliver successful outcomes both at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Our Arts team is led by a visionary and dynamic Head of Department and the close-knit team delivers a wide range of subjects up to Key Stage 4, including Art, Graphics. Photography, Dance and Music. All of these subjects are very popular with the students during their Options choices, which is a testament to the skills and dedication of the team.
We are oversubscribed in almost every single year group, which reflects the first-class facilities we have on site as well as our fantastic students and staff who make the school a great place to learn. We pride ourselves on achieving outstanding outcomes in a school with an inclusive ethos that has superb pastoral care and a strong commitment to staff mental health and work-life balance.
Baysgarth School is an 11-16 comprehensive with almost 1,000 pupils on roll; a number that will continue to rise over the coming years. The successful candidate will be expected to have pride, passion, positivity and vision and a desire to ensure the school has the highest possible reputation in the local community and beyond.
Baysgarth School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
