Riverview Federation is already firmly established as leading the way for inclusive practice. We have highly successful provisions, processes and interventions across our settings, offering flexible, personalised packages to support the specific needs of our pupils. Our provisions all understand the needs of every child and provide them with the conditions they need to be happy and proud of their success.
Riverview believes every child should have access to the right provision and support and, as such, we are currently advertising for a Home Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This role will include supporting pupils in accessing online and/or paper based learning provided/ assigned by Baysgarth subject staff and providing interventions, in required support areas, such as social and emotional needs. This role will also include supporting transition plans to reintegrate pupils into the mainstream school, once they are able to do so. The role will therefore include in lesson/ social time support on the school site.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of supporting children with additional needs, particularly pupils with social and emotional needs and those who need support accessing curriculum content. They will be able to adapt their practice appropriately to meet the range of ways that these needs can present themselves. Experience in the delivery of social skills and/or emotional regulation interventions would further support this role.
We are also looking for someone who shares our vision for high quality support and is flexible, dynamic and innovative in achieving the very best care, support and curriculum for our children.
We want someone who is ambitious not just for the children but for themselves. This post could lead onto a place on our teacher training programme or another promoted post as part of our expansion plans.
