A New Chapter...

Following the retirement of our current Headteacher, Mrs Potterton, at the end of this academic year, it is our pleasure to inform you that Mrs Young has been appointed to the position from September.  We are sure that you will join us in extending our congratulations to her. 

Mrs Young has been part of the Castledyke family for 10 years, running our Early Years provision.  This means she should be a familiar face to all our families.  She has shown over this time that not only is she an excellent practitioner, but that she always puts the children at the heart of everything, demonstrating care and compassion for every child, and ambition to drive the school forward, providing the best possible educational provision now and in the future.  These qualities will make her an excellent Head of School and provide families, children and staff with the stability and consistency we need as we enter our new chapter. 

Mrs Young will continue to be supported by Mrs Peck and Mrs Roberts, as her Leadership Team, and Ms Driscoll will continue to lead the Federation and strengthen the relationship between the schools. 

This is an exciting time for Castledyke families, children and staff and we know that Mrs Young and her team are going to provide outstanding leadership for our children.
