Exciting STEM Session: Year 9 Students Tackle The Solar Tower Challenge!
In an inspiring collaboration, Smallpeice and OPITO teamed up to deliver a dynamic STEM session for Year 9 students. During the session, students competed in The Solar Tower Challenge, where they worked together to build a solar-powered tower that harnesses energy from the sun (or desk lamps!) to power a turbine.
Each student took on a unique role - ranging from electrician to civil engineer and finance officer - gaining hands-on experience while tackling real-world challenges. A fantastic way to explore renewable energy and teamwork!
