Borneo Fundraising
Baysgarth's Outlook Expedition team have been incredibly busy in their fundraising efforts ahead of the trip to Borneo taking place in July 2025...
One of which, Oscar Bell, approached Barrow Rotary Club for a sizeable donation towards the trip. The committee agreed on the condition that Oscar met with them to tell them all about why he needed the funds.
Recently, Oscar attended Barrow Rotary Club's meeting, where he had dinner with them and then gave a 15-minute presentation about the expedition. He spoke about the treks and community projects the group could be doing in Borneo, and answered various questions that the Rotary Club had. He spoke really well and presented himself brilliantly, and secured the very generous donation.
Well done Oscar, and a massive thank you to the Barrow Rotary Club for the support you have given him.
Additionally, the team ran successful Christmas Fayres at Baysgarth on 5th December and Castledyke on 12th December, where GCSE dance groups performed throughout the evening and even Santa made an appearance!
In total, from raffle sales and all individual stalls, over £1,000 was raised. A massive thank you to everyone who came and supported, or bought raffle tickets.
