Students get to visit and speak with a range of organisations to explore possible career pathways...

At Baysgarth, we want to give all our students the best and most realistic guidance to help support them navigate their next steps.  Therefore, we offer comprehensive careers information and guidance from our Employability Mentor, Miss Osgar.  From one-to-one guidance, workshops, trips and visits, students receive rich and diverse opportunities to experience as many options as possible before having to decide on their pathway after Baysgarth.

This half term, alongside visiting and talks from various local colleges, students have ventured out to CLdN Ports to understand the inner-workings of the logistics infrastructure and take part in some of the work they do. CLdN is a leading provider of integrated quay-to-quay and door-to-door logistics solutions linking major economic areas of Europe.  With 30 ships, more than 200 sailings per week and the lowest carbon footprint of all Western European roll-on, roll-off operators, they are a good company to consider for future careers.  At the Killingholme port, students were shown a little of what happens on a typical day at CLdN and got to help with some of the jobs at hand.

Furthermore, a small group of female students met with representatives from The British Army who spoke with them about the vast career opportunities for women in the forces and gave students the opportunity to complete tasks they might encounter should they pursue a career in The Army.
