My Green Lab

My Green Lab promotes fundamental and permanent improvements to the sustainability of science and laboratory practices.  It is a global programme recognised by the United Nations' 'Race to Zero' campaign, and the accredited certification is acknowledged as the 'gold standard' for best laboratory practice around the world. 

My Green Lab has helped tens of thousands of people make a positive change to their work and create a culture of sustainability within their labs...and Baysgarth is incredibly proud to be part of this change.

Recently, our Science department submitted an application and we are delighted to share that we have been approved as the very first school in the world to work towards this prestigious certification. 

As part of the process, a culture of sustainability will be developed and embedded with our students, now and in the future.  Healthier materials and practices for staff and students will be implemented, savings on resources and reduced waster, along with supporting and developing innovation, methods and ideas. 

As a pioneer in the education sector, the work Baysgarth School is undertaking will provide a model for other schools throughout the world.

We are delighted to join a community of hundreds of labs that have been 'My Green Lab' certified!
