Baysgarth School is proud to announce that we have been awarded the STEM Club Quality Mark, which is recognition of the exceptional provision a school offers to young people by enriching the STEM curriculum. The SCQM provides a framework for success, assisting schools to identify and recognise the high calibre of extra-curricular provision provided by the school.
STEM Clubs are a gateway to building enthusiasm for STEM subjects, increasing attainment and greater awareness of real-world context. Supportive of the Gatsby Careers Benchmarks 4 and 5, STEM clubs enable club leaders to encourage young people to develop their STEM career aspirations and careers capital
Supported by the Gatsby Foundation the SCQM creates a solid foundation for the enhancement of STEM subject knowledge and practical application in a non-curricular setting. The SCQM endorses the embedding of careers awareness, enhanced STEM subject learning and promotes best practice and transferable skills amongst club leaders and young people.
