This is a great opportunity for someone with the right skills to support the school and team at an exciting time.

The role of Learning Support Assistant is key in providing high quality learning experiences at all times for our students. To cover staff absence or any temporary additional needs of the team, we are looking to build a supply bank of staff to be employed on a casual basis.

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff to create outstanding learning opportunities
  • Supervising pupils during breaks, lunchtimes and extra-curricular activities

  • Using ICT to support students’ learning
  • Using differentiation strategies to support a range of learning needs effectively

A typical working day is 8.20am to 3.00pm and the following working patterns may be requested:

  • Daily cover for staff absence. This may be both planned and short notice absence.
  • Set periods of cover for long term absence including weekly, monthly and termly periods of time.

Baysgarth School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
