What is enrichment?

Enrichment at secondary school extends learning beyond the classroom through a wide range of experiences, including trips, inspirational guest speakers, leadership opportunities, cultural experiences, representing the school and extracurricular clubs.

At Baysgarth, our enrichment offer is something we are incredibly proud of. In 2025/26, our students took part in close to 25,000 enrichment experiences, averaging almost 20 experiences per student.

In recent years, our students have explored destinations including Iceland, France, Austria and even Borneo, creating unforgettable memories and broadening their horizons. We look forward to planning our next adventures, providing even more opportunities for our students to discover new interests, develop essential life skills and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Clubs at Baysgarth

Our club enrichment offer is organised around six key areas, providing our students with a diverse range of opportunities to explore interests, develop skills and discover new passions.

Enrichment matters because it broadens our students’ horizons, helping our students discover new interests and develop new passions. It strengthens essential skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, creativity and problem-solving, while promoting wellbeing, positive relationships and a sense of belonging. Through these experiences, our students build confidence, independence, resilience and responsibility, preparing them for further education, employment and adult life. Most importantly, enrichment ensures every student has the opportunity to participate, discover their strengths, develop their potential and succeed.

Our enrichment club offer varies from term to term allowing us to maximise what we can offer. Check out an example of our offer below to see how much your child can enjoy. To get involved students simply need to show up and take part.
