Say No to Bullying, Kindness is Our Superpower!
At Baysgarth, every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported every single day. We are committed to fostering a culture of kindness, respect, and positive change across our entire school community. While we take any form of unkind behaviour seriously, our focus is firmly on proactive support, restorative action, and ensuring every student has a voice.
Dedicated Support: Student Wellbeing Champion
We are proud to introduce Miss Crowder, our dedicated Student Wellbeing Champion and Anti-Bullying Lead.
Miss Crowder’s core role is to be a steadfast champion and advocate for any student experiencing unkindness or bullying. From the moment an incident or concern is reported, Miss Crowder is there to listen, reassure, and guide the student. Crucially, her support doesn't end when the initial incident is resolved; she ensures thorough, ongoing aftercare and check-ins so that every student feels continuously safe, heard, and confident in school.
Our Promise & Approach to Action
We believe in full transparency, meaningful restoration, and structured support. To ensure every concern is handled fairly, consistently, and thoroughly, Baysgarth operates a clear Tiered Support & Sanction Framework:
- Early & Tutor-Led Support (Tiers 1–2): Focuses on early resolution, open conversations, and clear education surrounding the difference between banter and bullying.
- Formal Intervention & Guidance (Tiers 3–4): Implements structured learning points and targeted behavioural interventions to drive long-term positive change.
- Specialised Safeguarding & Safety Planning (Tier 5): Provides comprehensive risk assessments, strict safety management around victims, and access to external partnership support when necessary.
Our goal is not just to manage incidents, but to educate, repair relationships, and ensure every student feels safe in their learning environment.
Working Together: Parent & Student Alliances
Real change happens when we work as a team. We actively collaborate with our school community to continuously refine and improve our anti-bullying strategies:
- The Parent Alliance: A collaborative partnership bringing parents and carers together with school leadership to share insight, shape policy, and drive positive culture. If you are interested in joining our parental alliance, please email eloise.crowder@baysgarthschool.co.uk.
- The Student Alliance: This student-led alliance gives students across all year groups a direct voice in promoting kindness and leading whole-school initiatives for anti-bullying.
